LASBO Membership Recognition Awards

During its November 2007 meeting, the LASBO Board voted to create two different awards whereby deserving members can receive recognition for extraordinary services to our organization above and beyond the call of duty: the LASBO Cypress Award for Career Achievement and the LASBO Magnolia Award for Individual Achievement. These awards will be presented at the Annual Spring Conference.

First Recipients of the New 2008 Cypress Award (Helen "Ruthie" Davis, West Feliciana Parish; Steven Stanfield, DeSoto Parish; and Charlotte Placide, EBR Parish)

Cypress Award
The Cypress Award will be presented to members who are nearing retirement and have best exemplified the LASBO spirit of excellence and cooperation during their career. All members have the opportunity to nominate individuals who they believe fit the criteria for recognition under this award.

Magnolia Award
The Magnolia Award will recognize those members who have designed and implemented extraordinary solutions to recent problems within the last few years. All members have the opportunity to nominate individuals who they believe fit the criteria for recognition under this award.
